Looking at my life

Life and death are the only things that every single human being on this earth has in common – we all share experiences but take different things from them meaning they are different experiences depending on the person going through them. One of the trickiest things we face our lives is making life changing decisions – decisions that will change our lives in ways we haven’t discovered or even thought of yet. That got me thinking about my past and how different my life would be now if I had made different decisions…and about my life in parallel universes where I am experiencing a different timeline.

What if there was one place on earth that acted as a portal in to different universes…would you go there out of curiosity or avoid it due to fear? What if I told you that there was a mirror somewhere that would reveal what you life would be like if you had chosen differently…would you do it, would you look in to the mirror? Personally I would take those opportunities with both hands and learn more about the other universes, but that’s just me.

I have this reoccurring dream where I am in a field and I look to the side and see myself dressed differently, but it is the same person…just a braver and more determined one. We stop and stare at each other for a few minutes thinking about running over to the other, but we don’t and she is called away by what could only be described as an instructor of some sort. This dream could mean that I need to be more brave and determined to catch my dreams because they will only present themselves for a few minutes then move on to the next person, but it got me thinking about parallel universes as well.

For all I know that version of Jodie DOES exist in a universe where I am the best version of myself and at one stage in my life I may meet her or might even become her, but for now all we share is a look – a longing look of curiosity that will never be fulfilled due to more important things happening. Maybe, just maybe, it is me dreaming of a past life. A life where things were different and we had to be brave and determined to fight, but a part of my past life was always curious about the future…the future of science. They always wanted what we have now – amazing technology.

It might not be any of those things, it might be something I am yet to discover. Something new that will travel in to my life unexpectedly and explain my little dream. I guess to truly understand it I need to evaluate my life and see what decisions I could have make or could still make to turn me in to that version of Jodie. If any one has any theories of their own please do not hesitate to share them with me – I am always looking for new ways to broaden my mind.
