Turning 19

Tomorrow I will turn 19 years old
Adult in appearance, child still at heart
Out in the world with out a hand to hold
Quite like a lone piece of art unsold

A place to stay, but seemingly lost
Adventures will come, but with a large cost
Hope in my heart and a life yet to live
The next chapter will surely forgive

Laughing away like a gaggle of geese
My old happy home has ended it’s lease
Now that the birds have flown from the nest
All that is left is for me to quest

A new joyous home is what I am after
Somewhere to love and be filled full of laughter
Soon it will come and feel oh so strange
Finally prepared for my whole life to change
