pink flowers

You are the fire burning me from the inside

Ready at any moment just to push me aside

Weak and Lifeless that’s how you’ll leave me

My heart isn’t quite ready to break free

Sitting all smug with your condescending tone

The truth is you’re just a celebrity obsessed clone

Real life problems are nothing but a joke to you

Go on, run away again, I’m not going to stop you

Love? You don’t know the meaning of the word

You’re perception on it is disgustingly blurred

Throwing it around like it’s a chew toy

Does that really bring you a sense of joy?

Twitter and Facebook bring you updates

From your favourite so called mates

Celebrities tweet to you “Thank You”

You take this with a great big “wahoo”

Smartphones and tablets have taken you over

You are as lifeless as a bird’s foot clover

Eat, Be Engaged with, Die, this is your life

Let’s hope somehow you find an understanding wife

A life behind a pointless screen has captured you

Catfish has a whole new meaning, it sticks to you like glue

I hope you’re never on the receiving end

You should never be just another story penned
