Anxieties

My fears are contrasting to yours, but that does not render them dishonest

Practical fears escape me, whilst irrationality overtakes my inner conscience

You are like shoes stomping on the ground, I am the keys hit by a pianist

In many ways you are so much better than I, but it’s the Hare that wins the race

You are like a mighty free lioness, whilst I a home-owned pet always stuck at base

Wild at heart yet constantly trapped in cages, this is the fate I am forced to endure

Strong as you are there are things you lack, such as a safe and protected place

In many ways you are so much better than I, but the things you lack are my strengths

Impulsive and brave is the face you put on, but fear is alluded when you go the length

Scared and unadventurous is how I might seem, but in the right situation I will come out as queen

We are different in almost every way and that is fantastic. Our stresses are our own and that is okay

In many ways you are so much better than I, but to compare us is foolish as we drum our own beat
