Letting Creativity Flow

Recently I have been struggling to convey my creative ideas in the correct way, some may say I’ve been suffering from a creative block of sorts. Up until tonight I’ve been stuck in that place with no movement of any kind. The trouble is I’d been focusing so hard on getting out of my rut that I’d forgotten to listen to my natural creative flow that runs through my brain.

Sometimes it takes being around other creative people or things to rediscover the creative juices and get inspired once again to create without fear in a world of black and white. Tonight I started going to a brand new drama group in my area that will give me the chance to show off my skills and harness my creativity in many different ways. Attending tonight was a very good idea as I feel all invigorated and inspired to continue reaching for the goals I’ve somehow lost over the past few months.
Drama has been a part of my life for a long time, but this is different. It feels more special because there is so much possibility and hope in a group where the aim is to bring creativity to the forefront of peoples minds (not the only aim, but I like that one).
If you’re feeling down in the dumps, bored or just need a confidence of creativity boost I would recommend joining a writers, acting or any kind of creative group going around. I’ve been feeling lost, demotivated and low for a little over a month and after one night of attending I already remember my goals. It helps me and could help you too.
The worst part of attending these things is the mere thought of actually going. Don’t let fear or nervousness put you off something that could change your life for the better. You might regret it.
