My motivation for this blog never leaves me, but I feel that recently I have lost my way a little bit when it comes to consistent posting. I posted loads in August then only a couple times in September. My new goal is to post once a week on Tuesday’s so I can get some order back in to the blog and in to my life which has been hectic recently.

After moving out from the country and in to town I find myself more inclined to partake in social activities or go out to the cinema in my evenings, which is fine and a lot of fun, but I have forgotten about my writing and my blog which has been a hanging issue looming over me and making me feel low.

Writing helps me get through my day at times and I’ve lost the little spark pushing me to actually do it. So I have the longing to do it, but that spark has been missing for about a month. Regaining some order and balance in my life will allow the spark to re-enter and I will, again, have the motivation and drive to continue writing.

That’s the thing with running a blog, sometimes you have the time, motivation and drive to run it. Other times you are busy with work, life and family or even just feeling low. There is no shame in taking a break, slowing down or talking about the struggle you’re feeling, if nothing else to understand how you’re feeling yourself.
