Setting goals is important, you get more done and feel more accomplished in the process. However with my illness I have found that setting goals is the only way for me to get up in the morning, other than work or when my boyfriend pushes me out the bed. This is why I am now going to post my new monthly goals on my blog, this way I can go back and look at them to make sure I’ve done them all. A lot of them are also blog related so feels relevant to post here.
My Monthly Goals for October
Get More Readers visiting my blog
I plan to do this by creating better and more engaging content with you, my readers. Recently I have been getting more views on my blog from my newer posts, but I can see my blog growing even further and becoming greater. I plan to grow it more and more each month and October will be no exception. I’ll be posting frequently and engaging more.
I’ve been struggling to find the motivation and will to do things recently so in October I plan to make a lot more effort to keep the motivation up and keep going despite feeling absolutely lousy. I will be starting new medication with may help with this, but if not then I’ll be getting my friends, boyfriend and family to give me that extra push.
It’s no secret to my friends or readers that I’ve been a recluse recently, my depression and anxiety has stopped me from wanting to go, well, anywhere. My October goal will be to socialise at least once a week outside of work and regular family meet ups. This will help raise my spirits and remind me that my friends care. It will also give me new experiences which is never a bad thing.
Do More Photography
This won’t only benefit my blog, but also keep me sane. I love photography, but haven’t done it nearly as much as I used to recently. I miss it. Being creative in a different way to writing actually helps me come up with more ideas for writing and more blogging ideas.
Learn 3 new recipes
For my 22nd Birthday I got a vegetarian cook book. I want to try out at least 3 recipes from there in October and share the results right here on my blog. Not only does this help me eat healthier, but it is also another way to be creative outside of writing. It also let’s my grandparents know I am using the gift they got me (thank you Granny and Grumpy for the great gift 🙂 )
Write an e-book
This is something I’ve been considering for a while. The e-book would be about blogging for beginners where I would share my expertise and help others create a blog of their own. I want to do this because I feel like I have a lot of really great advice to share and could help a lot of people.
Improve my social media
I want to get up to 600 followers on instagram, 1k likes of Facebook and 3k followers on Twitter by the end of the year. This means making mega improvements to my social media and becoming more engaging with my followers. It will be a challenge, but one I am more than willing to get on with.
