Over on my other blog The Travelling Writer I have a series where I blog about different date ideas in a number of different cities. You should go over to The Travelling Writer to find out a bit more about the other cities I have done a list on. However today is all about dating in Cornwall so let’s get started with that. I’m not overly familiar with Cornwall, but I am sure there are plenty of lovely places there for Cornwall singles to go on dates.
If you and your partner like cycling then I would recommend going along the camel trail which follows a disused railway line. This is great for a scenic and romantic cycle and I would definitely recommend it for keen cyclists or even just something different.
Day Trip to The Isles of Scilly
Want to treat your other half? Why not take them for a romantic day trip to The Isles of Scilly? You can get there by boat or train and when you’re there you can check out bars, take in the island life and just generally spend some quality time with your amour.
This is a theatre which has been carved out of a cliff which I am sure is popular in the Cornwall dating scene. So not only are you taking your date to the theatre, but also to a romantic clifftop. You can enjoy a show whilst looking out to the sea, now what could be more romantic and unique than that?
Can you think of anything more “fairytale” romantic than a waterfall? I can’t. St. Nectans Glen is one of the most romantic spots in and around Cornwall. With beautiful waterfalls and ivy clad trees, I’d definitely consider this one of my top date spots.
If you’re quite an active couple then why not climb to the top of St Michael’s Mount? A beautiful spot to take your partner and if you make it to the top of the Mounts Bedrock you’ll get absolutely stunning views. This is often recommended for people planning to propose.
Another one for quite active people. Windsurfing is quite big in Cornwall and can be a really fun activity for you and your partner to partake in. Daymer Bay is a great place to start on this front. Great if you want to do something active then relax with a nice chilled out meal.
A cute quirky little cafe near Daymer Bay where you can get a bite to eat. It’s a lovely intimate place to connect with your date and perfect for more informal dates. You can even head over here after windsurfing for a cool down.
So those are my date ideas for Cornwall. Do you have any other suggestions? Comment below.
