The Best Way To See Scotland In A Day

August 30, 2019

Scotland is a beautiful country, particularly in the highlands. A lot of people who come to this beautiful country stay in Edinburgh instead of exploring the wonderful landscapes that Scotland has to offer. This is often because they are on a tight schedule. However, there is a great way to see Scotland in a day!

The best way to see Scotland in a day is to take a tour with an experienced and knowledgable guide. They can show you the sights, but also tell you about the interesting history of each location they take you to. I’ve experienced a lot of these day tours throughout the years, but the best one I’ve taken has got to be the 1-Day Loch Ness, Glencoe, Highlands and Whisky Tour run by The Hairy Coo.

This is why I believe that The Hairy Coo runs the best tours to see Scotland in a day.

They Truly Adore Scotland

Each and every tour guide with The Hairy Coo absolutely loves their country. They genuinely enjoy showing people around Scotland and helping guests have an enjoyable experience. Tour guiding is a hard job, and it’s often obvious when the guide doesn’t enjoy their jobs. The Hairy Coo tour guides all show a true passion for their country and their job.

Glencoe

They Know Their Stuff

With The Hairy Coo you don’t just get a tour, you get an experience. History is a huge part of the tours and the drivers are passionate about sharing that history with all of their guests. You’ll learn all about the, sometimes greusome, history of Scotland whilst seeing the most beautiful sights of Scotland.

You Might See A Real Hairy Coo

Although it’s not guaranteed (due to not being able to predict where the hairy coos will be in the field) there is a high chance that you’ll get to stop and see some hairy coos. If the driver is extra prepared, they may even have carrots for you to feed them.

You’ll Have Fun

One of the most important things to The Hairy Coo is that their guests enjoy their day. The tours are made brilliant by the personalities of the wonderful drivers who will look after you on the day and make sure you get everything you want from the tour. The day tour I went on even had “Busaoke” AKA Bus Karaoke.

You’ll Get To Try Whisky

Scotlands national, and best, drink. On the Hairy Coo day tours, you won’t just get to try the whisky, you’ll get to see how it’s made. For £8 you can get a tour of Deanston Distillery and have a taster session of the whisky!

You Can Find Nessie

On the 1-Day Loch Ness, Glencoe, Highlands and Whisky tour you’ll have the opportunity to join the boat trip with cruise Loch Ness and search for the famous cryptid. You’ll even get a discount for the cruise if you buy your ticket with your Hairy Coo driver on the day.

Loch Ness

They Have The Best Itinerary

The Hairy Coo are renowned for having one of the best, and most appealing, itineraries for their guests so they can see the best of Scotland in a day. From Glencoe, to Loch Ness they’ll take you to see some of the most beautiful places in the country. They have a tight schedule so that they can give you as much time off the bus as possible on the tour.

They Provide A Private Tour Service

If you’re looking for a more intimate, private tour with a schedule tailored to you they provide a private tour service, subject to availability. You can find out more about it here: https://www.thehairycoo.com/private-tours-of-scotland/
