Samhuinn Fire Festival
This exciting festival takes place on top of Calton Hill to celebrate the transition from Summer in to Winter. The story follows the overthrowing of Summer by Winter, with a dramatic stand-off between the Summer and Winter Kings. This is overseen by the Cailleach, a Celtic representation of the Goddess, or Divine Hag, who ultimately decides each King’s fate and ushers in the colder months. Annasach’s Hallowe’en Ceilidh
Scary isn’t everyones thing, and that’s absolutely fine as there are still things you can do on Halloween. Join the Annasach Ceilidh Band at The Counting House at 8pm on All Hallows Eve for a night of dancing and fancy dress (there is a prize for the best costume!).

Lights Out Halloween
This one is for 18+ only! Take a trip into the basement at 14 George Street if you dare for LIGHTS OUT this halloween in Edinburgh! This venue used to be The Royal Physician’s Hall from 1775 – 1829 and during this time it was used as a morgue by surgeons so they could find out more about the human body. For one special night you can be in Why Not Nightclub with the ghosts and ghouls that remain there as they return to earth.
