Mothers day is just around the corner. This means we get to show our lovely mums how much we love them without them thinking we need money. This year more than ever, when we can’t actually see our mums, it’s important to find the right present for our mothers.
Now I’m not saying that we need a present to show our parents how much we love and appreciate them. It’s just nice to see that big smiles on their faces when we do get them nice things. Personally, I think it’s important the venture out of the normal gifts of flowers and chocolates. Everyone and their dog gets that for their parents and as nice as that is, it’s sometimes fun to be unique.
Just a note to say that this is not a sponsored post – all of the links in this post are products I genuinely like the look of. I’ve also linked to small businesses in most cases because I think shopping small is so important.
Mothers Day Gifts That Will Make Her Smile
Pin for later:
A Beautiful Pendant
There is nothing like a nice piece of handmade jewewllery, especially if you pick your mums favourite stone/colour. The good thing about Pendants is that they come in a wide range of different prices. They also come in a range of different style and colours to suit your mothers personal likes.
I really like the pendants from Moonlight Mountain Designs and there are a nice range of prices to suit any budget. They are all handmade so each one has a unique feel to it.
Treasures By Tay Also has lovely pendants on her site. At the time of writing this a fair few are sold out, but the rest of her site is so cute as well. Check out the rest to find the perfect gift.
A Self-Care Kit
Who deserves a bit of self-care more than our mums? No one. A self-care kit is great because it’s a way to pamper your mum without being there. The other thing is that mums are often really busy or stressed by work and motherhood so giving them and excuse to set aside time to look after themselves is a good thing.
This self care kit on Etsy looks amazing. It has > 1 – 3.5oz soap of your choice
– 1 lip balm of your choice
– 1 – 4oz bath salt in Pink Grapefruit (or Lavender if you request at checkout)
– 1 Muscle Rescue Balm tin
– 1 Skin Rescue Balm tin
You can even choose the scent of the soap and the lip balm flavour.
A Nice Vase For Mothers Day Flowers
If you know other people in your family are going to send your mum flowers, it might be nice to get her something new to put them in. If there is no one else to buy her flowers, get her both a vase and flowers. You can find some really nice beautiful vases online.
I love these handmade ceramic bud vases on Etsy. They’re so cute and quirky and come in a range of different colours.
There are also these really cute vase charms from Craftyinthecotswalds that could compliment the vase.
A Homemade Blanket
Blankets are always a good gift. They keep people warm and can make a nice decoration for a bedroom. There are plenty of blanket making kits online. Now of course we don’t all have the skills to make our own blankets, but that’s what shops are for! There are people out their who put a lot of effort into making wonderful blankets and sell them for a really resonable price.
StarryStitchery has some really cute blankets, scarves and even shawls you could buy your mum.
This Etsy Shop also has a good range of cute blankets and shawls.
A Print Or Art For Their Wall
This is a gift that can be really personal. It’s also something that will be in constant view – so the one you pick has to be good. Finding local artists for this is always a good shout, especially for art. That way you get to support a small, local business whilst also getting something more unique for your mum.
I love this personalised print, especially for those who are really close to their mums. You can customise the print to look more like you and your mum so it works for you.
Pebble art is always cute and always unique because no pebble is the same. The shop linked before is so cute and has a wide range of different designs to choose from.
A Beautiful Handmade Ring
Rings are stunning, but make sure you know what your mums ring size is to avoid disappointment (or get an adjustable one). Getting them a handmade ring as well means it’s even more special. They are the only ones who have that ring because each handmade product will have slight differences no matter how similar they look.
TwistAndRockByZeina on Etsy has some stunning rings you can buy. They’re all handmade and are sure to put a huge smile on your mums face.
A Jewellery Or Mirror Display
This was inspired by my find of KatiesRamblings shop on Etsy. She has a stunning mirror display and jewellery display on sale in her site and honestly they would make a really cute addition to any home.
As it’s something quite unique that your mum won’t expect it could be the perfect gift if she has a lot of jewellery or is in need of a mirror. It’s definitely a mothers day gift that won’t go unwanted.
Earrings For Mothers Day
If your mum has her ears pierced, she can never have too many! This is a gift that you can think about for a long time in order to find the right style for your mum. As always, we love these to be handmade. Unique and wonderful designs are ideal.
Selena’s Chest has some absolutely stunning designs in a range of different colours and prices. All of their products are handmade with love and it’s worth having a look at their other products.
If your mum isn’t into Jewellery and loves to read, she may prefer this. There are so many different styles, you can even choose your favourite photo of the two of you and get it printed on a bookmark.
Vada Green makes corner bookmars over on her shop and they are so cute! Definitely a great handmade gift to get your mum.
